Rental conditions/ House rules in Short

Ostrich Hide is our home in the bush that we love and cherish, we kindly ask you to treat it as if it is your own.

Any serious damage to the house or its contents is the guests' responsibility and will be charged.

When this might occur report to our caretakers.

Any damage will be deducted from the breakage deposit.

NO check-in will take place when the number of guests exceeds 4 persons.

Important Notice – Rules and Conduct at Ostrich Hide & Marloth Park

   Marloth Park is a nature conservancy where wildlife roam freely.

The rules of Marloth Park are clear and apply to all visitors.

  By entering  Marloth Park and Ostrich Hide, you automatically agree to abide by these rules.

  We uphold a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding parties, excessive noise, and any other form of disturbance.

  This means that parties, loud music, and disruptive behaviour are strictly prohibited at all times.

                                                      If security is called to Ostrich Hide due to disturbance caused by guests                  First incident: You will receive a formal warning.                Second incident: You will be issued a fine, and your security deposit of ZAR 3,500 will be forfeited.                                Third incident or serious misconduct: You will be immediately removed from Marloth Park

by security or law enforcement, without any refund of rental fees or the security deposit.

  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in preserving the tranquillity of Marloth Park and respecting

  the well-being of its residents, guests, and wildlife.

NO pets of any kind are allowed in Marloth Park.

Do NOT collect wood from the bush to use on the braai or firepit, this is strictly prohibited!!

NO speeding, tar road 50km/hr and gravel roads 30km/hr

Baboons and Vervet monkeys are very active in the area and can cause severe damage when getting into the house

So please, ALWAYS close curtains, and lock doors, and windows when you leave the house.

Lock doors that are not in sight when you are at home.

Keep the front door locked when you are on the patio.

Don’t leave any food in sight.

Don’t flush foreign objects through the toilets, we use septic tanks.

NO smoking, vaping or the use of waterpipes in the house or in the bush.

Hiring domestic workers for cleaning or any other job is NOT allowed!!!

On your departure ensure you:

Leave the property as you found it, and wipe it clean and tidy.

Have all dishes washed.

The refuge was removed and left at the collection points on Olifants road

Sheena will contact you to meet you at the house to collect the keys.

or asks you to leave the keys in the key box

Rental rates include:

* Use of bedding, towels, and kitchen cloths.swimming towels

* Use of smart TV (DSTV streaming).

* Gas, water, and Electricity.

* Local taxes.

* Free uncapped WIFI.

* Security Services

The owners of Ostrich Hide are NOT responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to luggage,

personal belongings, vehicles or any injuries of guests which has occurred during your stay in Ostrich Hide.

In case of any problem, big or small,do not hesitate to contact our caretaker.

We cannot be held responsible for problems with water and electricity supply, including load shedding,

noises from builders and or other holidaymakers during your stay.

Feel free to contact the security company in case of any nuisance you might experience.

We have done our very best to make your stay a good one,

however, we hope you understand we can not control the weather,

the behavior of other people, and wildlife.

By booking and signing for the keys you automatically accept our house rules.
